Working out the file's code
How this works
When we finish a check, we record the exact file's code (SHA-256), sign it with our key, and add it to a public record that nobody can quietly change later. If even one byte of a file is different, its code is different.
Right now this page finds exact copies. Recognising the same recording after it has been converted, trimmed or re-labelled is coming later. Until then, a converted copy shows "We have no record of this exact file", even if it is the same recording.
