Our method
How we check
What we check
Facts anyone could look up: names, dates, numbers, events and quotes. Official records count most. Opinions, jokes and predictions are listed, never scored. English only, for now.
The score
From 0 to 100: how well published sources back the claims in this one episode. Main claims count most. Never a score of a person.
What each result means
- Verified
A reliable source states this.
- Questionable
Sources disagree, only one lower-weight source states it, or a detail is off.
- Can't be checked
Public records cannot settle it. It does not lower the score.
- Not verified
A reliable source says otherwise, or no record exists where one should. It does not mean anyone lied.
What Verified requires
A score of 85 or more, no main claim Not verified, no more than a quarter of the main claims Questionable, at least 5 claims we could count, at least half of the claims checkable, most results resting on strong sources, and the same results each time we check a claim. All 7 tests
What we never do
Take a side in politics. Let a person set a result. Sell a better score.
What FactUnion Verified means
FactUnion Verified
On a creator's check: it passed every test above.
On WovenPod's shows on this site: every fact on the episode's fact sheet was checked against its sources, and wrong facts were corrected. No score is given. Their first 14 episodes were checked after release.
